Despite its name, Baby Alpaca does not come from baby animals. It is a premium grade of alpaca fiber defined by its exceptional fineness and softness. This luxurious fiber can come from alpacas of any age, provided the fleece meets the highest quality standards. The result is a fabric that is incredibly soft, lightweight, warm, and naturally elegant.

Most of our collection is crafted from 100% Baby Alpaca. Selected styles are thoughtfully blended with Super Baby Alpaca (one of the finest grades of alpaca fiber, selected for its exceptional softness and lightweight warmth), silk and wool to achieve specific textures and designs. Alpaca fiber provides exceptional thermal insulation while remaining remarkably lightweight and breathable. Unlike cashmere, alpaca fibers are naturally hollow, creating tiny air pockets that act as an efficient thermal insulator. Due to careful folding during shipping, your piece may show light creasing. If needed, gently steam from a short distance to restore its natural drape. Avoid direct contact with a hot iron.

For proper storage, coats, capes, ruanas and ponchos are best hung on a wide, padded hanger to maintain their shape. To prevent stretching, shawls and throws should be neatly folded. Care instructions are included with every product.
